The root of the Turmeric spice has also proven to be an efficient treatment for a variety of other lesser ailments including headaches, arthritis, stomach pains and even the common cold.

Those seeking to lose weight can also be helped by regularly eating spicy foods, as they increase your metabolism by up to 8%. Studies have shown that calories can be burnt far more easily after eating spicy foods, and the fact that such foods often leave you feeling more satisfied than their blander equivalents also means that you’re more likely to manage to adhere to your diet plan.
